“Sharing health data between doctors and hospitals will save lives. I want to know if the member supports this bill enough to vote to send it to committee.”
“Mr. Speaker, I think it is important to recognize that health information technology is all about the patient. For many years, we talked about information from patients and how it contributes to the betterment of health conditions. This legislation would actually save lives. It would improve the conditions. I am wondering if the member can provide her thoughts on the principle of the legislation. I understand there are some concerns with it, but does she support the principle of the legislation to the degree that she would vote in favour of it going to committee?”

Mr. Speaker, I think it is important to recognize that health information technology is all about the patient.
