“The government has failed to deliver results for 11 years. But we should still look at the good parts of this bill. We must fix communication in health care so people do not die from mistakes. The government should welcome good ideas to make this bill work.”
“Mr. Speaker, that is a really serious question. Given the track record of the government over the last 11 years, a lot of boondoggles have happened that failed to deliver any results needed or promised by the government. However, that does not mean we should not look at the positive side of this bill. The death of Greg Price is a reminder for the government that, after 14 years, we are still figuring out how we can streamline the process so miscommunication cannot happen and tragedies like his cannot happen again, or can be controlled. I believe we still need to look at the bill from a positive angle, and all the positive suggestions should also be welcomed by the government.”
