“We are keeping immigration at manageable levels. The number of temporary residents has gone down, and this is helping lower prices for Canadians. I will present our new immigration plan later today.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, as the Prime Minister and I have said a number of times, we will not budge from sustainable levels. We have acted on the mandate that Canadians gave us to restore sustainability and durability to the immigration system, and the results are clear. The temporary resident population has dropped. We have stabilized levels, and as a result Canadians are seeing lower prices. I very much look forward to tabling our government’s immigration levels plan later today.
