“Mr. Speaker, I want to thank the member from Sault Ste. Marie for his strong advocacy for all the hard-working steelworkers in his community. I do not know if the House knows this, but Canada is one of only a handful of nations that can design and build a heavy and medium-sized icebreaker. That is something we should all be very proud of. Our steel companies, like Algoma Steel, will now provide the steel we need to build these ships, strengthen our supply chains and keep more of our procurement dollars here in Canada.”
