“This bill lets the federal government control health care, but only the provinces have that power. I want to know if my colleague will help change the bill to protect Quebec's powers.”
“Mr. Speaker, as drafted, clause 7 of the bill puts Quebec and the provinces under federal control, although such responsibility is by no means within the federal government’s purview. Health is the exclusive jurisdiction of Quebec and the provinces. Does my colleague support amending clause 7 to recognize Quebec’s jurisdictions?”

Mr. Speaker, as drafted, clause 7 of the bill puts Quebec and the provinces under federal control, although such responsibility is by no means within the federal government’s purview.
