“The Prime Minister promised to lower our debt compared to our economy, and to be careful with money for the next generation. I want the Leader of the Opposition to tell us what the budget says. Did the Prime Minister keep his promise, and will Canadians pay more or less for debt?”
“Mr. Speaker, the Prime Minister promised Canadians a declining debt-to-GDP ratio. He promised fiscal prudence, especially for the next generation. Can the Leader of the Opposition tell me what the budget says? Did the Prime Minister keep that promise and will Canadians be spending more or less on debt?”
