“Today is World Spine Day. It is about keeping our backs healthy through good habits. I want to recognize the chiropractic college in my riding, and everyone who helps Canadians stay pain-free.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, October 16 is World Spine Day, and health care professionals and policy-makers around the world raise awareness about the importance of spinal health and the prevention of spinal pain and disability. Healthy habits such as staying active, responsible lifting and safe work conditions help people look after their spine. In my riding of Don Valley North, we are fortunate to be home to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. For over 80 years, the CMCC has been a leader in chiropractic education, training generations of health care professionals who serve communities across Canada and around the world. On World Spine Day, I want to recognize the faculty and students at CMCC, and all people working to help Canadians stay healthy and pain-free.
