Mr. Speaker, there is a piece in the legislation on the duties of operators, which would hold big tech accountable, and in there is the duty to act responsibly. It would require social media and these platforms and services like chatbots to assess and mitigate risks associated with seven categories of harmful content. Those categories are intimate content communicated without consent; content that sexually victimizes a child or revictimizes a survivor; content that induces a child to harm themselves; content used to bully a child; content that foments hatred; content that incites violence; and terrorism or violent extremism content. A piece of this that we will have to look at when this moves to committee is ensuring that there would be true accountability by these content providers and that it is not just an illusion. As such, this is something that we will be talking about as this moves forward.
