“I am a veteran, and this government respects and supports all veterans. We honour the sacrifices they made in many wars, including those who died and those who returned with physical and mental health issues. We should all show our support by attending remembrance events and wearing a poppy.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, I do respect veterans. I myself am a veteran. The Prime Minister respects veterans. Every member of the government supports and respects our veterans. We will attend a multitude of different events that will recognize the many sacrifices made by our veterans in a multitude of different wars, recognizing our veterans, whether they made the ultimate sacrifice or came back with all sorts of health-related issues, in physical health or mental health. I think it is absolutely critical that we all respect our veterans. I like to think we all do. I myself will go to Brookside, where thousands who lost their lives are laid to rest. I think there are different ways. One of the things is to wear a poppy and support our vets.
