“I agree with my colleague. The government is giving itself too much power without enough oversight. People should be able to bring complaints to the ombudsperson. This bill does not hold the government accountable to Parliament.”

There should be a way to bring forward challenges to the ombudsperson. Absolutely, I agree with him. This bill, soon to be replaced by Bill C-40, has a complete lack of accountability back to Parliament.”
