“The member only got a call from the housing minister after she joined the Liberals. That shows the government only listens to Liberals, when it should serve everyone. I want to know if the Prime Minister or the finance minister will be here on Friday.”
“Mr. Speaker, I would be remiss if I did not address that question by noting that the member, when she was on this side of the House before she crossed the floor, was highly critical of the government. In fact, she said that she did not get a call from the housing minister until she crossed the floor. What do we have, then? We have Liberals overtly telling us that unless one is a Liberal, one does not get a phone call from the housing minister. Where I come from, one is an MP to everybody, to the people who voted for them, the people who did not vote for them and the people who did not vote at all, just like the government is a government to every single person. Shame on the government. Will the Prime Minister be here on Friday? Will the Minister of Finance be here? Anyone? Bueller?”
