“Mr. Speaker, I want to thank my colleague for all her hard work. When she takes on an issue, she puts her whole heart into it. Perhaps she can just tell us one story. I also sat on the veterans affairs committee when we studied this issue, and there were just so many stories from veterans who are here today. Perhaps there was one story that really stuck with my colleague and made her realize that this effort was worth her time. Maybe she can talk about that a bit.”
