“Our government is helping families save money. We improved employment insurance, gave workers paid sick leave, and made pay fairer for women. Our child care and school food programs also save families thousands of dollars. The new budget coming today will do even more to make life affordable.”
“Mr. Speaker, Canadians want a government that works proactively to help them. We do that every day. As I said, we implemented measures to enhance EI benefits, introduced paid sick leave and improved pay equity for women and families. The early learning and child care agreements and the school food programs are saving Canadian families thousands of dollars. The government is working for Canadians by implementing a range of measures. The budget that will be presented later today will be a great opportunity to show Canadians the many measures we are going to take to improve affordability and help Canadian families. I am sure that the budget will include all the measures.”
