“Too much time is wasted on paperwork in our health system. I want to know how many hours this bill will save.”
“Mr. Speaker, the member for Edmonton Southeast mentioned in his great speech that the Canadian Medical Association estimates that some 20 million hours are spent on administrative work. I agree with the member that excessive administrative time is often wasted and should probably be spent in other ways. I am curious as to whether the member can comment on how many of those 20 million hours could potentially be reduced through Bill S-5.”
