“People often have to repeat their medical history every time they see a new doctor or go to the hospital. This bill will help solve that problem.”
“Mr. Speaker, we get emails all the time about how people go to one practitioner and then have to go to the hospital and re-explain their entire medical history. Then they go back to their practitioner to get a referral and go to the specialist with the referral, and they end up on the operating table if need be. They have to share their information across all those different avenues. That is happening all the time. I get emails all the time from constituents who ask why they cannot do it once to make sure they mark the right leg and move forward. Yes, I think this is going to help in specific situations like that.”
