Kelly DeRidder Conservative
“Bad people, like human traffickers, might try to get personal health information. People must be in control of their own data. I want to know how the government will protect this private information as this bill moves forward.”
“Mr. Speaker, this is one of the sensitive topics that we absolutely need to address when this bill moves forward, because there are going to be perpetrators out there who want to access personal health information, as in the trafficking world. We have to make sure that we are able to protect that data, that the data remains sovereign and that it is up to an individual to share that data. How is the government going to make sure that all those things are in place as it moves this bill forward?”
