Pierre Poilievre Conservative
“I oppose this budget. It adds too much debt, which drives up inflation, interest rates, and future taxes. The government should have cut spending to lower the cost of living instead.”
“Mr. Speaker, Liberals are centralizers. They want to build a bigger, stronger and more costly state on the backs of Canadians and Quebeckers across Canada. This is a $765-billion debt-financed budget. When billions of dollars are put on the national credit card, it drives up today’s interest rates and inflation, as well as tomorrow’s taxes. That is why this is one of the most costly budgets in our country’s history. They should have listened to our request to have a budget that would save Canadians money. That should have been the priority, and the Conservatives will continue to fight to lower the cost of living for Canadians.”
