“The oil industry makes enough money and does not need government handouts. We should stop giving subsidies to all businesses in every sector. If we cut taxes and remove government barriers, oil companies can build pipelines and plants on their own.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, I will answer the question once again because it is simple. The oil industry does not need subsidies. It is an exceptionally profitable industry that has no need for them. That is true. If we remove government barriers from their path, oil companies can build pipelines, mines and natural gas liquefaction plants. We need to do away with taxes and barriers and put an end to corporate handouts for all businesses in all sectors. That is the free enterprise we want to see.
