Mr. Speaker, it is my tremendous honour to celebrate the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition on their 25th anniversary. The Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition is an amazing partnership of eight organizations supporting the urban indigenous community in Ottawa. They came together in 2001 to tackle a number of issues facing the community, with a particular focus on health and homelessness. Last night, we had a remarkable community gathering with members of the urban indigenous community from Ottawa and with the broader community coming together to celebrate the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition. It is the elders and speakers that are part of the coalition, and learning from their wisdom, that make the whole experience so worthy. I want to congratulate the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition for the tremendous work they do and wish them all the best for the next 25, 50 and 100 years.
