“The budget spends $400 million to help industrial facilities use energy more efficiently. The member for Calgary Centre has a bill with similar goals. I want to know if he supports our investment.”
“Mr. Speaker, in the budget, there is a $400-million investment to optimize energy efficiency for Canadian industrial manufacturing facilities. It is called SHIFT, the strategic high-efficiency industrial facilities transition program. The member for Calgary Centre introduced a private member’s bill, Bill C-269, which calls for a tax credit for heat recovery equipment to recover heat produced by industrial processes. I am curious if the member for Calgary Centre supports our government’s $400-million investment in SHIFT.”

Mr. Speaker, in the budget, there is a $400-million investment to optimize energy efficiency for Canadian industrial manufacturing facilities.
