Mr. Speaker, today I stand to recognize some of Canada’s climate champions, this year’s Clean50 honourees. Each year, the Clean50 awards celebrate Canada’s sustainability heroes, recognizing the impact that individuals, community leaders, businesses and organizations have in addressing the climate crisis. I am proud to be an alumni of this program. As we continue to experience the worsening impacts of climate change, it is more important than ever that we support our innovators and our trailblazers. Amazingly, over 10% of this year’s Clean50 winners are based in Nova Scotia, some of whom I know well and have worked with. I congratulate and welcome all of this year’s honourees to the Clean50 family. Let us build our path to net zero together.
