What Bill C-235 would do
The bill would amend the Criminal Code to change sentencing for a person convicted of the abduction, sexual assault and murder of the same victim from the same event or series of events. The trial judge would determine the exact parole ineligibility period within that range after considering any recommendation from the jury.
