Beaulieu focuses on getting federal money and protections for Quebec's industries, especially when US tariffs or other threats arise. He repetitively pushes the government to spend more in his riding and change national policies to benefit Quebec. Beaulieu also reliably brings up any perceived slight to Quebec, like a lack of consultation or allegedly unfair treatment compared to other provinces.

“So you want tax cuts? The budget officer says those help the rich most. And oil companies will just take the money and charge the same prices anyway. What do you say to that?”
“You say Conservatives are right-wing, but I think Liberals are right-wing too. I think a tax cut helps the rich and oil companies. Oil companies didn't really lower prices. I think they just kept the money.”
“I want to control prices. Oil companies might raise their prices. That makes me sad. I want the government to control who benefits from lower taxes. Only some people should get lower taxes. Not everyone should get lower taxes. Especially rich people. I don't like that they might use more gas.”
“I'm not an economist. But I think when we cut gas taxes, companies just kept the money as profit and raised prices again. Why are gas prices rising when our oil isn't from the Strait of Hormuz? Gas companies shouldn't raise prices unless they have to.”

“I don't like the idea of considering economics and health equally in food inspections. I want the agency to focus only on health. I also don't like the idea of foreign banks taking control of our banks.”

“The government says it wants to work with us, but then ignores everything we say. I don't like that. They should accept our amendment on sexual misconduct in the armed forces. I want my colleague to explain why they think the government isn't taking our suggestions.”
“You rejected our amendments to this military bill. Was it because you didn't want to upset the military brass? We wanted an inspector general just for sexual misconduct and judges who could be veterans or leave the military.”
“Why won't the government let victims choose their court? I want to know why they ignored our amendments. All of us in opposition wanted this. What do you think?”
