Kevin Lamoureux, Winnipeg North

Liberal
“I want all members of Parliament to support the port of Churchill. It connects the Prairies to the Atlantic Ocean, creates jobs, and helps our economy.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, Canada’s Prime Minister and this government believe in big projects. We understand the benefits of having jobs and building the strongest and healthiest economy in the G7. I stand today because of the potential of the port of Churchill, which will connect the prairie provinces to the Atlantic Ocean directly. The potential is there. It is real. It is tangible. We look to the Prime Minister, the premier of the province, the indigenous communities and the leadership to understand the value of the port of Churchill not only to Manitoba but to all of Canada. I ask all parliamentarians to get onside and recognize the true value of these major projects.
