The Economy

In question period on the economy, the Conservatives said affordability has worsened, citing higher grocery prices and rising food bank use, and asked when the Prime Minister last shopped for groceries. The Liberals responded that the Conservatives repeat the same message without saying what programs they would cut, and argued cuts would affect programs like school food and child care.Written by AI from the debate. “The Conservatives say they care about regular people, but their leader insulted a waitress's home. They will not say what they want to cut. I believe they will cut money for children, school food, and day care.”

Mr. Speaker, I will give the Conservatives credit. They are on message. The script does not change. They talk about being in touch. I remind my colleagues that it was their leader who stood in front of the home of a waitress and called it a shack. What do they want to cut? The members on that side have never answered us. Would they cut the child benefit? Would they cut the food program in schools? Would they cut day care supports? They would cut all of it. They do not have a plan. They are not serious.
