“I want to thank first responders in my riding and across Canada for keeping us safe. I also want to thank my brother for his service as a firefighter.”

“Mr. Speaker, the Prescott—Russell—Cumberland we know and love is shaped by the dedication and sense of duty of our first responders. Today, I have the honour of recognizing their courage, professionalism and commitment to our communities. Whether they are firefighters, paramedics, police officers, dispatchers or search and rescue volunteers, they stand ready to protect our safety, health and well-being. In times of crisis and uncertainty, their grace under pressure, compassion and sense of duty make all the difference. I am sincerely grateful to all first responders across Canada for their outstanding commitment. I would also like to recognize the dedication of my little brother, Michelangelo Mingarelli, who serves his community in British Columbia with the Golden fire rescue squad. First responders embody all the best values of public service and are a true source of pride for all our communities.”
