Madam Speaker, 46 years after the Marathon of Hope, Terry Fox continues to inspire Canadians from coast to coast to coast. On September 24, alongside the Minister of Health, Darrell Fox, health professionals and researchers, our government announced an investment of $80 million over four years for the Terry Fox Research Institute. This investment will help expand precision oncology and support more personalized treatments for patients across Canada. The funding will also strengthen the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network, bringing together more than 54 institutions, over 1,300 collaborators and the data of 15,000 patients to advance cancer research. This is another step on the journey Terry Fox began 46 years ago, helping researchers turn hope into action and discover better outcomes for Canadians. Let us finish it.
