Aerospace Industry

During question period, the aerospace industry and a government funding commitment to a space company came up. John Brassard of the Conservatives asked about $200 million given to a company he described as near-bankrupt and connected to Liberal insiders, citing three failed rocket launches and payments to an insider, and asked the Prime Minister to acknowledge the money went to Liberal friends. Minister David McGuinty responded that investments in Canada’s space capabilities create jobs, strengthen supply chains and industrial capacity, support security and sovereignty, and contribute to defence equipment work in Nova Scotia.Written by AI from the debate.
