Oral Questions
Employment
During Oral Questions, two Liberal MPs discussed summer jobs programs in their ridings. The government helps pay wages for students to work at local businesses and organizations over the summer. Over 100,000 students will participate across Canada this year. MPs praised the programs and each other but no other issues were discussed.
“I want to say nice things about this program. It is very nice when the government spends money to make young people work in the summer. Employers are happy with this program too. It is good when young people work in my riding and in other places.”
