Peter Schiefke, Vaudreuil
“I am celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Mille et une huîtres fundraiser. Over the past ten years, it has funded more than 20,000 camp days for almost 1,400 campers with special needs. I want this camp to keep succeeding.”
“Mr. Speaker, this Saturday, I will have the pleasure of marking the 10th anniversary of Mille et une huîtres, an oyster dinner fundraiser organized by the Fondation Paul-Leboeuf. For 10 years now, this event has been bringing our community together to give children and adults with special needs a chance to enjoy adapted and inclusive camp experiences at the Centre Notre-Dame-de-Fatima. Thanks to the generosity of the attendees over the past decade, more than 20,000 camp days have been offered, supporting 1,398 campers with special needs and their families. I would like to thank Steven Grenier, Guillaume Roberge, France Pomminville, and the entire team and board of directors for their hard work year after year, not to mention all the donors whose generous contributions continue to support this important work in our community of Vaudreuil. May this extraordinary camp continue to thrive for years and decades to come.”
