Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize an extraordinary member of our community, Danny Montesano, who will soon be honoured with the Ordine al Merito award by the National Congress of Italian-Canadians. I have known Danny for decades and have seen first-hand his kindness, generosity and dedication to helping those around him. A respected business leader and successful entrepreneur, he has never lost sight of the importance of giving back. Through his long-standing record of charitable donations, including generous support for local hospitals and many other causes, Danny has made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless families across the community. This recognition by the national congress is a testament to a lifetime of hard work, leadership and service. I extend my heartfelt congratulations from my family to his. To Danny, on this well-deserved honour, bravo. I thank him for all that he does for our community.
