The Economy

In a debate on the economy, the Conservatives repeatedly pressed the government on Canada being the only G7 country in recession with negative growth the last two quarters. The Liberals responded by citing better growth projections for Canada than some other countries, and blaming illegal tariffs and wars for economic challenges. Much of the exchange consisted of partisan talking points and political spin rather than substantive discussion of economic policy.
