Business of Supply

The House considered the business of supply. The government announced that Thursday, April 30 would be an allotted day, meaning an opposition party will set the debate for that sitting. Otherwise, most of the exchange was procedural, including a point of order asking members to keep conversations quiet so speakers can be heard.Written by AI from the debate. Updated .

Mr. Speaker, I wish to inform the House that Thursday, April 30, shall be an allotted day.

“I want members to be quiet and show respect. A loud conversation near the chair is making it hard to hear the speaker.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, I was about to raise a point of order when my colleague stood up. I would like members to show some respect for those who are speaking. There is a very loud conversation happening near the Speaker’s chair, and even I am having a hard time hearing my colleague from Saint-Jean. We would appreciate it if members could remain calm and maintain proper decorum.
