Spectrum Policy Framework for Canada Act

“I want to pass this bill to expand government control of airwaves. Spectrum policy doesn't get updated often. Unused frequencies are like vacant lots, and they need to be managed. Industry wants less regulation, but I don't trust them. Some people don't have cell service, and they need it for safety reasons. This bill will improve the situation by making sure unused spectrum gets used. The CRTC must act quickly. Companies say there is 100% coverage, but that's not true. We need more transparency and efficiency, even if most people are already covered.”
